I came across this image the other day and I think it really sums up how I feel about 2015!
I feel like 2015 is the game! This year I will not settle for mediocrity! I am willing to put the hard work in to achieve BIG goal but with that they will be realistic goals. I want to achieve as much as I possibly can this year, so what it that?
Goal 1: Getting to a comfortable weight (for activity/running).
-I would like to put a number here but I really don’t know what that is. I am thinking it is somewhere around 140-150 pounds. However, I really don’t care for the scale, it is more about how I feel, both when I am being active and in my clothes. So this one is not a greatSMART Goal because it is not very measurable but for me it is a great goal.
Goal 2: PR’s (Personal Records) in my races.
-I would like to see myself get the following PR’s and to get them it mean I will really need to focus on cross training and being consistent with my running:
5K – 0:32:00
10K – 1:06:30
15K – 1:47:30
Half – 2:33:55
Goal 3: This is a stretch goal! Complete a duathlon and/or triathlon.
-I am pretty sure I want this goal more than any of my other goals! However, I want to be realistic so that is why I am making this one a stretch goal. I need to purchase a new bike for this and that could more money then I want to spend on something I am not sure I will love. Therefore, I need to do more research on Du’s and Tri’s but I think I will find a way to make this work!
These goal are going to push me out of my comfort zone but, in my book that is a good thing! In 2015 I’m going to take chances and challenge myself to strive for more each day! I know if I put my mind to it I can achieve all of these goals and probably more!
