Two years later, I am living that lifestyle and thank myself each day for choosing it! I had kind of forgot about the ambassadors and was reading one of the articles on their website a while back and came across the application to be an ambassador.
I sat there staring at the application for a good 5 minutes. “Should I apply? There’s no way I would be accepted as an ambassador… Why not, I have embraced the active lifestyle! I can’t, the women I know who are ambassadors have amazing resumes – both have ran the Boston Marathon – I haven’t done anything like that!”
Then I said to myself, “Push yourself outside of your comfort zone! If you say your personal motto is ‘If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!’ then you need to put yourself out there to change yourself.” So I applied and forgot about it.
Last week, one evening I was checking my email and to my surprise I received an email from Laura Williams herself, the founder of Girls Gone Sporty, congratulating me on becoming a Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador. I was so excited, I chucked my phone at Justin with no explanation! He looked at me like I was a nutcase! I couldn’t even form the words to tell him to read the email.
I love what Girls Gone Sporty stands for! The website says it best…
“Girls Gone Sporty is an online editorial magazine and a social community for women dedicated to living and leading sporty lives. In addition to providing cutting-edge content, we’re committed to creating a support system for women who are striving to be their best selves.”
Pretty cool, right? I think so! I am so excited to be part of this group!
I am thinking I will use it to help train for my next half marathon. I can always use new ways to cross train. If you are interested in checking it out you can do it here! And guess what! You can use the discount code TEAM10 for a 10% discount! Who doesn’t like a deal!
This is an amazing deal!
