Who doesn’t love a good girls night out? I know I do! So that’s why I was really excited when I found out that New Balance’s Girls Night Out was coming to the Twin Cities.
I had read other bloggers post about New Balance Girls Night Out and was super jealous that we hadn’t had an event here in the Twin Cities. So when I heard that there was one coming here you bet I signed up immediately!
The evening started at 6:30 pm at the New Balance Twin Cities store in St. Louis Park. All of the women checked in before the festivities got started. Then we all gathered for an overview of the activities for the evening.
We started the activities by making a one mile run to a local park where we then participated in a bootcamp that help with building strength and endurance. Of course we had to run that same mile back to the store after the bootcamp That was all lead by Val Ellens, an instructor at Lifetime Fitness. It was supposed to be my rest day so I planned on taking it real easy but Val made it so fun that I kind of got caught up in it (and I was a little sore the next day). She did an awesome job leading the bootcamp!
When we got back to the store we cooled down on the sidewalk outside the store. Grace McCrady, an ambassador and manager for YogaFit Linden Hills, lead us in yoga to cool down. It was amazing! I loved it! It made me realize I really have to start practicing yoga more constantly.
After our awesome cool down we headed in to the store for some pictures and refreshments.
We also got a few gifts from New Balance and other sponsors.
I cannot stress how fun the evening was! I hope that #NBGNO comes back to the Twin Cities soon!
