I really enjoy July and August because of all of the fun races I get to do! However, this year is a little different than the last few, I am dealing with Posterior Tibial Tendonitis which will be limiting my races.

Red, White & Boom – July 4th
Rice Lake Classic – July 11th
Esprit de She 50th & France – July 30
Fifteen’s 5K – August 2nd
YWCA Triathlon – August 16th
2.5K – August 28th at 7:30pm
10K – August 29th at 8am
5K – August 29th at 10:15am
I have already had to miss the Red, White & Boom half marathon but after reviewing my race schedule it looks like I will be missing a few more.
This upcoming weekend, I was supposed to do the Rice Lake Classic which is a local race, not only local but two block from my house! And even better than that the race is around Rice Lake so the views are beautiful and it is a fun distance, 3.7 miles. I won’t be running but I will be going to cheer on the other racers.
I am hoping that by the 30th I will be able to at least walk the Esprit de She but we will see how my recovery goes. At this point, it is become desperately close to the possibility of me not being ready for the YWCA Triathlon, my first planned triathlon. I really hope that will not be the case!
I love racing but I am adapting to not being able to do them for the time being, it has been hard for me! However, I know that forgoing a few racesit will help me to fully healed and be completely ready to do the others I have planned for the rest of the year!

No races yet! But I am sure there will be some!
*If I heal as I hope, I can almost guarantee there will be more races added to the schedule… ;o)
