It’s the first Saturday of December so that means it’s the Ultimate Coffee Date – December Edition!!! I look forward to this day each month! Grab your coffee (or drink of choice) and lets chat!

My coffee for the Ultimate Coffee Date – December Edition
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I finally got to meet my niece Lilah! Oh my goodness, I am in love! She is so cute! Lilah likes to keep you on your toes, literally! She would have me in shape in not time flat because she loves to be held while doing squats.

Isn’t she so cute!!!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that the I am trying to decide which 2017 Twin Cities in Motion Race Series I should register for. I am debating between the TC Summit Challenge or TC Summit Challenge MNy. The Summit Challenge is the Valentine’s Day TC 5K in Feburary, Hot Dash 10 Mile in March, Red, White, & Boom half marathon in July, and Medtronic TC 10 Mile in October. The Summit Challenge MNy is the same races only all 5K’s except for the Medtronic TC 10 Mile. I am leaning towards the TC Summit Challenge because I didn’t get to start or finish last year due to my TBI. I will have to decide soon because they fill up quickly!
If we were having coffee… I would ask you if you if I should follow an online training plan or hire a running coach. My running coach recently decided to stop coaching so she could have a life on the weekends. I don’t blame her but now I am not sure what I should do. I have had a running coach for the last three years and have learned a lot so I am sure I could do it on my own. However, I love the accountability a coach brings as well as having sounding board for all things running. It is really a tough decision!
As always, a huge thanks to Coco of Running with Perseverance and Deborah of Confessions of a Mother Runner for hosting the Ultimate Coffee Date – December Edition!
Love the GOTR mug I have not seen those and I am a coach as well. I hear you on the coach thing. I have had the same trainer for over 10 years and of course I could do it on my own but that’s no fun! Thanks for joining us for coffee today and have a great holiday season
Both race series sound like a lot of fun – can’t wait to see which one you choose.
I really like working with a running coach – having that sounding board is really so helpful. I also like having a coach to push me out of my comfort zone!
So cute of your niece! I laughed that she likes when you squat with her-my kids loved that! Adorable~ I think you are so lucky to have a running coach- I have never, but I bet it is a great motivator and way to stay accountable for sure!
Aw, your niece is adorable! I have a running coach and she’s been great – Kristy of Run the Long Road Coaching.
