I had a very successful first week back at Weight Watchers. I ended up losing 5.4 pounds! I was shocked when the receptionist told me. In fact I actually said, “Are you kidding me?” I felt like the week went well but I didn’t think it went that well.
I am not sure if it was lower points, the keeping close track (I have been tracking all along but maybe not as close as I should have been), or a combination of both. I am leaning towards the latter but whatever it was I will take it. This week of course was much harder with Christmas falling in there. I did indulge but I don’t think I over did it. I still have activity points so I didn’t end up going negative.
However, I am changing my weigh in day this week (and going forward). I started on a Sunday because it was the only day that week that worked for me to get to a meeting and I wanted to start as soon as possible because I was very unhappy with where my weight had gone. I had always intended for my weigh in day to be Wednesday so starting this week I will be going then.
My real hope is to maintain my weight this week. I know it is too much to ask for a loss because my schedule was completely off and my eating was not good or as good as it could have been. I do have a few extra days in this week with change in weigh in date so I am also hoping that works to my favor.
All in all I am happy that I decided to go back to Weight Watchers. It was a real struggle for me to decide what to do but I refuse let myself gain back the weight I have already lost so I had to do something. I am excited and nervous to see how it works with my half marathon training. As always I will keep you posted!
Do you have a program/routine that is your fail-safe?
