The other day I was asked why I blog and it was easy for me to respond…
I blog for two reasons:
- It is a place for me to capture my journey
- I hope I can inspire just one person (most important to me)
I started out reading blogs and found so much value in them. They helped me to understand that I wasn’t alone in how I was feeling or what I was going through. It was a nice feeling to know that I wasn’t alone! Because of that I wanted to do the same for others!
I have also been asked why don’t I focus on more “tips and tricks”, well, you can find those all over. What you have a harder time finding is candid, raw feeling and situation related to weight loss and weight loss maintenance. When I was in the thick of my journey that was the kind of information I was looking for.
Getting Fit to Find Myself is a place to share my story. I want people be able read about my experiences and how they have impacted me and how I have dealt with them to get to where I am today. I wanted to be able to reach others who are looking for support and create a place with no judgement.
I also want to create a place of honestly which is why I am an open book. I want readers to know that I am just like them and dealing with the same issue. That is why I am open about my depression and anxiety. It has a huge impact on weight loss and I want readers to know that just because they may be dealing with it, it doesn’t have to stop you.
So, that is why I blog!
Why do you read blogs?
